To send a wedding invite in WhatsApp: design the invitation once, bring in your guest list, send from a dedicated WhatsApp Business number, and let guests reply with a tap. No mailing address, no email, and no app for guests to install.

WhatsApp is where most of your guest list already spends its time - especially for family group chats, out-of-town relatives, and anyone abroad who’d otherwise need an international stamp. Sending your invitation there instead is mostly a question of having the right tool, not a technical challenge.

## 1\. Design the invitation once

You need one asset: either the invitation image you’d normally send to a printer, or a link to a wedding site if you have one. Whichever you pick, that’s what guests will see as the actual WhatsApp message.

## 2\. Bring in your guest list

Type names and numbers in directly, or [import an existing spreadsheet](/blog/importing-your-guest-list). Every number gets validated before anything sends, so a typo doesn’t turn into a message that silently fails.

## 3\. Send from a real business number, not your personal phone

Sending a hundred-plus messages from your own WhatsApp risks your account getting flagged as spam, and mixes your wedding into a thread guests already use for everyday chat. A dedicated WhatsApp Business number keeps the invitation looking official and keeps your own phone out of it.

## 4\. Let guests reply with a tap

The message itself carries three reply buttons - Yes, No, and Not sure yet - so guests don’t need to type a reply, remember a website, or scan a QR code. Whoever taps first is done.
