It says plainly that it makes money when guests buy registry items Joy sells, plus optional upgrades such as custom domains, text messaging and premium stationery, and vendor and travel referrals. The marketing site is available in 12 locales. For an English-speaking couple who want a registry-funded free product with a good app, Joy is a solid choice. ## Where Eventi is different Eventi has no registry business. It makes money from invitations sent over WhatsApp and SMS with reply buttons and automatic reminders, $0.45 per invitation, and from the optional custom domain at $29 once; everything else, including the site, the RSVP and the guest list, is free. Joy lists text messaging and a custom domain as upgrades but does not state their prices on its pricing page. The AI writer and Hebrew are the other differences. Eventi drafts the whole site from your details and rewrites sections on request, in English or Hebrew with a right-to-left layout.
