# Zola vs Eventi for a wedding website

Zola is a registry and planning company with a very good free wedding website attached to it. Eventi is a guest list and invitation tool with a free wedding website attached to it. Both are free to publish; the differences are in what sits around the site.

## What Zola does well

Zola's website builder is mature and large: more than 600 templates, a registry that lives on the same page, paper invitations that match the site, and a planning app. If your guests are mostly in the US, a registry is central to your plans and you want to buy matching paper from the same place, Zola is a sensible default and the site costs nothing. A custom domain starts at $17.99 according to Zola's own page, and you can redirect a domain bought elsewhere.

## Where Eventi is different

Eventi started from the guest list rather than the registry. Every guest has a personal link; the RSVP on the site, a tap on a WhatsApp button and an SMS reply all update the same row, and reminders go only to people who have not answered. That messaging layer is the paid part, $0.45 per invitation, and it is optional. The AI writer drafts the entire site from your event details in English or Hebrew, and Hebrew sites get a proper right-to-left layout, which matters if part of your family is in Israel.

Privacy defaults differ too. Zola's couple sites appear in its public sitemaps, so they are built to be found. Eventi sites are hidden from search engines until you click Show in search engines. A custom domain on Eventi is $29 once rather than a recurring price.

## Which should you pick?

Pick Zola if the registry and matching US paper are the centre of your planning and all your guests read English. Pick Eventi if you want the RSVP to run through WhatsApp and SMS with automatic reminders, if you need Hebrew, or if you want the site private by default. Some couples use both: a Zola registry linked from an Eventi site.

We quote each builder's own pages, link the source and date the check. Where a page did not state something we say so rather than guess. Prices and features change, so verify on their sites before you decide.
