Made for
Indian engagements.
An engagement guest list is two families, many relatives and a few uncles who never reply. Eventi takes care of the chasing so you can focus on the ceremony.
Count people, not invitations
When one invite covers a whole family, Eventi asks how many people are coming, so the caterer gets a real number.
Reminders only to those who haven't replied
Set up to three automatic reminder rounds. Guests who already answered are left alone, and nobody gets a message at night.
Reach the elders too
Guests who don't answer on WhatsApp can get an SMS or an AI voice call, so grandparents and older relatives are not missed.
Tips for an engagement invitation that works.
Small details that help both families reply quickly and arrive on time.
- 1
Send it two to three weeks ahead
Engagements are often planned around an auspicious date picked by the family, so the window can be short. Two to three weeks is ideal, and even a week's notice works when the date is fixed late.
- 2
Name the ceremony the way your family does
Roka, sagai, mangni, nischayathartham or ring ceremony - customs and names vary by region and community. Use the word your guests know so there is no confusion about which function it is.
- 3
Put both families on the card
Traditionally the invitation comes from the parents or elders of both sides. Mention both family names and the couple's names clearly.
- 4
Mention the timing and the meal
If the ceremony is followed by lunch or dinner, say so. Guests plan their day very differently for a short morning roka than for an evening party.
- 5
Split the list between both sides
Ask each family to share their guest list as a spreadsheet and import both. You see one combined headcount instead of two sets of phone calls.
- 6
Confirm numbers before the caterer does
Wait for the last reminder round, check the confirmed count including family members, and only then give the final number to the venue.
