Copy ## What to include in a birthday invitation message Check the message covers these points before you send it, so no guest has to ask you for details later. - Whose birthday it is and the age, if the person is happy to share it. - The date with the day of the week, the start time and, for kids, the pickup time. - The venue with a landmark, and whether parents stay or drop the kids. - Whether gifts are welcome, not expected, or replaced by a book or a donation. - A reply-by date tied to a reason: return gifts, the cake size or the table booking. - For a surprise, the arrival time and the one rule: nothing on social media until the birthday person walks in. ### Before you send - For a kids' party, write the drop and pickup times in the message itself.
