Copy ## What to include in a diwali invitation message Check the message covers these points before you send it, so no guest has to ask you for details later. - Which day you mean: Dhanteras, Diwali night, Padwa or Bhai Dooj. The dates differ every year and guests get them mixed up. - The puja time and the dinner time as separate lines, since many guests come for one. - The full address with the tower, the flat number and a landmark, and where to park. - Dress, if it matters: ethnic wear for the office milan, anything for the card party. - Whether children and elders are expected, and whether there will be crackers. - A reply-by date tied to the cook or the caterer. ### Before you send - Name the date, not just Diwali. Diwali 2026 is Sunday, 8 November, Padwa is Monday and Bhai Dooj is Tuesday, and guests have invitations for all three. - Give the aarti a fixed time and keep the rest open. Diwali evenings are for dropping in, and a two-hour window gets more people than a sharp start. - Say whether there will be crackers.
