Pre-wedding function invitations
Mehndi, haldi and sangeet invitations
with a headcount for each.
Not every wedding guest comes to every function. Send a separate mehndi invitation card, haldi ceremony invitation and sangeet invitation on WhatsApp, each with its own date, time and dress colour, and each with Yes, No and Not sure yet buttons. You get a clear headcount per function, so the mehndi artist, the dhol and the caterer all get the right number.
Free to start - no credit card required.
This is how each function invite arrives on WhatsApp.
Every function goes out as its own WhatsApp message with your card and reply buttons. Guests answer for each one separately, and you see a separate list for each.

Made for
three-day weddings.
Indian weddings have more functions than most families have time to call guests about. Eventi keeps each function's list straight.
A separate invite per function
Close family at the haldi, friends at the sangeet, everyone at the mehndi - each function has its own list and its own replies.
Reminders that don't overwhelm
Up to three automatic reminder rounds, only to guests without a final answer, and never at night.
Day-of message with directions
On the day of each function, confirmed guests get a message with the time and a directions link to the venue.
Tips for mehndi, haldi and sangeet invitations.
Advice from the busiest week of a wedding.
- 1
Send a separate invite for each function
Guest lists differ - the haldi is often only close family, while the sangeet may be bigger. Separate invitations give you a separate headcount and avoid confusing guests.
- 2
Put the exact time on every card
Functions often run back to back, sometimes two on the same day. A clear start time on each card stops guests turning up for the wrong one.
- 3
Share the dress colour
Yellow is the usual colour for the haldi, and green or bright colours are popular for the mehndi. If you have a theme, say it on the card so photos look great.
- 4
Warn guests about the haldi
Turmeric paste stains clothes. A short line asking guests to wear something they don't mind getting messy is appreciated.
- 5
Know your traditions
Not every family holds all three - some communities hold a tilak, a mayra or other functions, and names and order vary by region. Invite only to the functions your family actually holds.
- 6
Book the mehndi artist with real numbers
Ask how many women in each family want mehndi applied, then confirm the number with your artist before the day.
