Made for
family rituals.
A mundan often means an early start, a temple some distance away and relatives coming from other towns. Eventi keeps everyone informed.
Rides to the temple
Ask who needs a lift and match them with relatives driving the same way - handy when the ceremony is at a family temple out of town.
A real headcount for the bhandara
When one invite covers a family, Eventi asks how many people are coming, so you know how much food to arrange.
Reminders only where needed
Up to three automatic reminder rounds, only to guests without a final answer and never at night.
Tips for a mundan ceremony invitation.
Practical advice for a smooth morning with a little one.
- 1
Check the year and date with your family
Many families hold the mundan in the child's first or third year, and some in the fifth or seventh. The date is often fixed with a priest, and customs vary by community - your elders know your family's practice.
- 2
Say where it is held
Some families do the mundan at home, others at a temple, a family deity's shrine or a holy place such as a river ghat. Name the place clearly and add a landmark.
- 3
Give an early, exact time
The ceremony is often in the morning, when the child is fresh. Put the start time on the card so guests are there before the ritual begins.
- 4
Plan travel for out-of-town relatives
If the temple is in your native town, send the invite early - three to four weeks - so relatives can book travel, and use ride matching for the last stretch.
- 5
Mention the meal or bhandara
Tell guests whether there is a meal afterwards and where it is served, especially if it is at a different place from the ceremony.
- 6
Keep it calm for the child
A smaller guest list and a clear schedule help a toddler through an unfamiliar ritual. Confirm numbers before the day so there are no surprises.
