WhatsApp survey

# A WhatsApp survey is one question
with buttons, not a form behind a link.

A WhatsApp survey works when it asks one thing and makes answering a single tap. You import a list of customers, members or participants, write one question with up to three answer buttons, and Eventi sends it to each person as their own message. They tap, the count on your dashboard moves, and the people who stay quiet get a reminder on the schedule you chose. Below: how to set one up, consent, reading the results, and eight survey questions with their answer options written out.

Free to create the list and write the question. Pay per send, shown before you confirm.

## Why one question per message gets answers where forms do not

A survey link asks a person to stop what they are doing, open a browser, read an introduction, and work through a page of questions before anything is saved. Most people never get past the introduction. A text message survey that asks one question with three buttons takes less effort than ignoring it, so people answer from the checkout line, the bus or the couch.

The other reason is who answers. A long form gets filled in by the delighted and the furious. A single tap gets the people in the middle, the ones whose honest Okay tells you more than a glowing review. When the question sits inside WhatsApp, under your business name, there is no form to abandon on page two.

## How to run a survey via WhatsApp

1

### Import the people you want to ask

Paste names and numbers, or upload a CSV or Excel file. A column for branch, class, server or cohort lets you compare answers by group later.

2

### Write one question and up to three buttons

Keep the question under twenty words and name the business in the first line. Button labels should be answers, not instructions: Great, Okay, Not good rather than Click here.

3

### Pick the time and the reminder schedule

Choose when the question goes out and when the reminder follows. Reminders reach only the people who have not tapped, respect quiet hours, and stop the moment someone answers.

4

### Send and watch the count

Each person gets their own message from Eventi's verified WhatsApp number. Answers are private to you, and counts per button update live.

5

### Export the results

Download a spreadsheet with the name, the answer, the free text and the timestamp. Filter by the group column to compare locations, classes or teams.

## Eight WhatsApp survey questions with their answer options

Each one is a complete message with the three buttons written out. Swap the names, places and days for your own.

### Satisfaction and recommendation

> Hi Marcus, this is Lakeside Dental in Traverse City. You came in for a cleaning on Tuesday with Dr. Patel. One quick question and then we leave you alone: would you recommend us to a friend or a coworker? Tap Definitely, Maybe or Probably not. Your answer goes straight to the office manager and nobody else.

> Dana from Brightway Plumbing here. Our technician Luis fixed the water heater at your place on Cedar Avenue this morning. How would you rate the visit? Choose Great, Okay or Not good. If something was off, tap Not good and write a line about it. Luis reads every reply at the end of his shift, and so do I.

> Greenfield Farm Box here. Your Wednesday delivery went out with Carlos and should have reached the porch by 2 PM. Did the box arrive in good shape? Tap Perfect, Slightly damaged or Did not arrive. A damaged or missing box gets replaced on Friday at no charge, so please answer even if the news is bad.

> Hello from the Oak Park Public Library. We launched the new catalog site last month and would like to know whether it is working for you. Was it easy to find and reserve a book online? Choose Easy, Took some effort or Could not do it. If you pick the last one, reply with what went wrong and our web team follows up.

### Choices, events, classes and renewals

> Hello from Mill Street Bakery. We are adding one new sourdough to the Saturday lineup and the regulars get the vote. Which loaf should make the cut: Rosemary olive, Cranberry walnut or Jalapeno cheddar? Tap one. Voting closes Thursday at noon and the winner is on the shelf two weekends from now. Thanks for helping us pick.

> This is Priya with the Westfield Chamber of Commerce. Thank you for coming to the networking breakfast at the Grand Hotel yesterday. Was the morning worth your time? Pick Very much, Somewhat or Not really. We plan the spring session based on these taps, so an honest answer helps more than a polite one. It takes two seconds.

> Coach Ramirez here from Ironworks Gym. You finished the six-week kettlebell course last night, congratulations. How did the pace feel across the sessions? Tap Too fast, About right or Too slow. The next cohort starts in March and I am adjusting the program based on what this group says, so your tap matters more than you think.

> Hi Tom, this is the Riverside Community Pool. Your family membership runs out on April 30. Are you planning to renew for the summer season? Answer Yes, Not sure or No. A Yes gets you the early bird rate through the end of this month, and a Not sure means we will send the details once the lane schedule is posted.

## Consent, response rates and reminders

### Ask people who expect to hear from you

Customers who gave you their number at checkout, members who signed up, participants who agreed to a study. A survey to a purchased list is spam, and WhatsApp treats it that way.

### Say who you are in the first line

The message arrives from Eventi's verified number, so your business or study name has to be the first thing they read.

### Keep an opt-out

Replying stop removes the number from future sends. Mention it once, at the bottom, and honor it.

### Expect a different response rate from email

A one-tap question sent the day after a visit is answered by far more of the list than an emailed survey link. Your own rate depends on how recent the contact is and how short the question.

### Remind once, then stop

One reminder to the people who did not answer, inside the hours you set, is enough. A second reminder for a survey annoys more than it collects.

## Reading the results, and what comes next

The dashboard shows a count per button and a response rate for the whole send, broken down by the group column if you added one. Free-text replies sit under the answer they were filed with. The export is a plain spreadsheet, one row per person.

Today a survey is one question per send. A second question is a second send to the same list, and the two exports join on the name column. Multi-question surveys with branching, anonymous answers and more than three options per question are on the roadmap, not in the product.

## WhatsApp survey questions people ask before sending

Straight answers before you send anything.

### How many questions can a WhatsApp survey have?

### Can people answer in their own words instead of tapping?

### What happens to people who do not have WhatsApp?

### Are the answers anonymous?

## Ask the one question that matters
